This song is so beautiful, and I believe it represents more than Anxiety. I feel this song can go for almost any mental health condition out there. I love this song, it provides so much empathic, inclusive, caring vibes. “It’s ok, to not be ok”.
This song makes me cry every time I listen to it, this song tells the story of my life, and probably a lot of others lives too. I love how to song talks about bullying then expresses life past the pain. I love how the song ends with success for the survivor. Simply beautiful, thanks Olivia!
"I was once a star, shining bright You pulled me out of the sky Stole all my light, why? Why? I was once a boat, sailing off to sea You dragged me back to the shore Changing my course in life Why me? Why you got to pick on me? And I don't know where I'm going But when I get there, I can say That I have been the kindest me, that I can be Can you say the same? I was once a tree, raising from the ground Winter, spring, summer or fall, I still grew tall Till you cut me down Are you really happy now? And I don't know where I'm going But when I get there, I can say That I have been the kindest me, that I can be Can you say the same? Now I'm a shooting star, can't catch me Tried to pull me out of the sky, steal all my light But look, it's not dimming"

I absolutely adore this song. In todays society many of us are faced with societal standards that can be hard to face. Societal standards suck!!! This song is motivation to fight against these standards created by who knows who, be yourself, and practice self love. Thanks Alessia!!!
I'm not going to lie, when I first heard this song I didn't like it, because it sounds like a kiddie Disney movie pop song lol. However, after listening to it multiple times and taking in the message, it really hit hard to my inner child, and I now love this song! The meaning of this song is absolutely astonishing and fits people who are often overseen or taken advantage of. This song is inspiring to always keep your head in the game, never let people run over you, and always strive for the best. Love it!!!
"I used to bite my tongue and hold my breath, Scared to rock the boat and make a mess. So I sat quietly, agreed politely. I guess that I forgot I had a choice, I let you push me past the breaking point. I stood for nothing, so I fell for everything! You held me down, but I got up (hey!) Already brushing off the dust. You hear my voice, your hear that sound! Like thunder, gonna shake your ground. You held me down, but I got up, Get ready 'cause I've had enough I see it all, I see it now....
I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter!!!!"
Oh my, where do I start? This song is absolutely amazing, because it can be applied to so many things within ones life. This song can be inspirational to wanting to get physically fit, mentally fit, or can be used as motivation to better ones life in general. I tend to play this song whenever I feel as if I cannot complete something. This song gives me the extra push to always complete what I start. This beautiful song by Rachel Platten informs us as human beings, that we fall off track sometimes, and it's ok; as long as we pick back up and continue striving for our goals.
With society always telling you to be opposite of what you are, this song is simply beautiful! In our society there are always expectations of what women, men, and other identified human beings should look and act like. Diversity and acceptance is rarely embraced within this world. This song puts one in check about loving oneself. You don't have to live up to what others think you should be, it's ok to be you! So thank you Colbie Caillat for releasing this beautiful song, it's very inspirational.
Love the message in this song. Being kind to those who have hurt you is a very hard things to do but it is a super power. Now I am not saying go and be friends with those who have done you wrong, remember you don't have to grant anybody mercy, or re-kindle relationships if you don't want to. I am not saying you even have to interact with those who have treated you poorly, you can be kind without doing so. So some might question "How are you winning being kind to those who aren't kind to you?" Those who aren't kind to you want you to be miserable: just like them. When you're kind and unbothered; it bothers them. SO ALWAYS KILL EM WITH KINDNESS LOVES!!!
If you haven't realized I'm a huge Christina Aguilera fan, then note it now, lol. Her album "Stripped" was absolutely one of the best albums I've ever heard. "Fighter" is mainly about acceptance. This is the true meaning of FORGIVENESS, which a lot of people get wrong, as most think forgiveness is granting mercy to whoever has done wrong upon you, or re-kindling the relationship. Forgiveness is another word for acceptance which means acknowledging what has happened-happened, making moves to heal, and be able to function without/not allowing the wrongdoer to win. The lyrics she used to describe her strength to get through a tough situation is artistically beautiful and can be applied to almost any bad situation one might go through.
This song was another song from one of my favorite singers: Christina Aguilera. This song kept my head up during high school. This song is definitely a song to listen to when you're at your lowest. I highly recommend those who are contemplating wanting to give up in life to listen to this song.
This song was a beautiful song that came out when I was starting college. This song is about being apart of a society that tries to peer pressure you into doing things you don't want to do. This song is unfortunately representative of some of the challenges some children/teens have to go through and ultimately them not being able to be kids.
P!nk really pushed her advocacy with this video. This video is AGE RESTRICTED on YouTube but I was able to find it on Vimeo. I have mixed feelings with the age restriction as I think it's very informative, but I can see how the video can be triggering, so if you are more sensitive to visuals/topics regarding self harm please don't watch the video. The lyrics to this song is phenomenal and so uplifting. Thanks P!nk for this artistry.
This song was everything to me in High school, and got me through a lot of tough times. Being a victim/survivor of severe bullying and bad childhood unfortunately generated a lot of low self-esteem and self hate. This song helped me feel better and inspired me to continue moving forward. Thank you so much Christina Aguilera.
Ariana Grande is my Cancer Twin, and I absolutely adore her! This song is so beautiful, and the visuals within the video are breathtaking. Such a motivational song to keep going, keep breathing, and continue to thrive and grow! Love you Ari ♡
